I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2015 and have been fully registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario since 2021. I describe my approach to therapy as being more relaxed than what most are accustomed to. I strongly believe in the importance of the therapeutic alliance and therefore will do my best to help you feel safe, understood and support in any way I can. I believe in the importance of meeting you where you are at in your journey and through dialogue, exploration and some times a little humor, help you understand, redefine or engage in change in a way that will be helpful and nurturing to you. I believe in the power of the humane person and the importance of valuing its experiences and needs. I value authenticity, honestly, compassion and the fundamental vulnerability of the human soul. Therapy has many purposes I would be honor to join you on your path.
Kindly,
Keava

I started my journey into psychotherapy in the summer of 2014. It was a big leap to return to school having already completed a BA in Fine Arts in Calgary in 2005, but my passion for people and mental health had not subsided. I successfully completed my MA in 2016 and have working in a variety or capacities since then. I have worked with several Employee Assistance Programs, Family Service, and worked for several months with Wabano having returned from a 9 month contract with the Saulteau First Nation in Norther BC. My passion is for people and their well-being. I have long wanted to start my own practice and am thrilled to be able to continue my own work and development while nurturing and supporting others.

Thank you, Merci, Miigwetch
